Transmashholding manufactured the first wide passenger car for RZD

Transmashholding (TMH) has produced the first compartment passenger car of the locomotive traction model 61-4533 of the enlarged size T by order of the Russian Railways holding for further testing. This was reported on December 30 by TMH's press service in its Telegram channel.

The innovative development was produced on the site of the Tver Carriage Works. The car will provide an increase in passenger capacity, it has an increased level of comfort and operational and service characteristics. All these solutions together increase the efficiency of the car compared to previous models, the company added.

"Unlike the widespread 1-BM size, the length of the car in the T size is increased by 73 cm, width - by 28 cm. The passage through the saloon will be 9 cm wider, the sleeping places in compartments will be 15 cm longer, and one additional passenger compartment has appeared. The car has modern systems of braking, power supply, microclimate control and diagnostics, which allow to make the operation of such cars more efficient", - added in the message.

Currently it is planned to produce six cars of model 61-4533. It is specified that the car body with the factory number ¹00001 has successfully passed static strength acceptance tests. After receiving a certificate of conformity to the requirements of the Technical Regulations of the Customs Union, the new cars will be transferred to Russian Railways.

Earlier, November 15, it was reported that Russian Railways is increasing the number of high-speed trains in the schedule for 2024-2027 from mid-December. According to the company, the new schedule provides for the running of 627 pairs (round-trip) of long-distance passenger trains - it is 13 more than now.
