The court of Belarus found the Nazi collaborator Smovsky guilty of genocide

The Supreme Court of Belarus on Monday, December 30, called the deceased commander of the 118th battalion of the security police Konstantin Smouski guilty of committing genocide.
"Smovski was found guilty of committing genocide, i.e. a crime under Article 127 of the Criminal Code. A guilty verdict was issued without imposing punishment," BelTA informs.
The investigation revealed 26 cases of crimes committed by Smovski. His participation in mass killings, including atrocities in the village of Khatyn and other settlements, was proved. According to the prosecution, Smovski is responsible for the deaths of at least 433 people, including children.
Earlier, on November 18, it was reported that the Supreme Court of Kabardino-Balkaria began the study of written evidence in the case on the recognition of the genocide of the peoples of the USSR crimes of the Nazi invaders in the region during the Great Patriotic War. It was specified that the court will be presented with exhaustive evidence of mass executions, torture, torture of civilians and prisoners of war, as well as widespread plunder and destruction of material and cultural values.
