In 2025, passengers will be able to fly at subsidized fares on 267 routes, including 72 new destinations that were not subsidized in 2024. This was reported on Monday, December 30, in the press service of Rosaviatsia.

"For the implementation of the program only from the federal budget allocated 7.95 billion rubles. Flights will be performed by 18 airlines. It is planned that they will perform more than 40 thousand flights, during which they will transport more than 2.5 million people", - stated in the message on the website.

It is specified that subsidized air routes cover all eight federal districts of Russia, with the largest number of destinations in the Ural and Volga districts (116 each), followed by Siberian (87) and North-Western (56). The longest subsidized route is Kazan - Ulan-Ude, and the shortest is Novosibirsk - Barnaul.

Earlier, on December 16, the Russian government said that from January 1 to July 1, 2025 in the Russian Federation will begin pilot sale of tickets via the Internet for some categories of citizens participating in the program of subsidized air travel. These include young people under the age of 23, pensioners, disabled people and large families, as well as residents of regions in the Far Eastern Federal District and the Kaliningrad region.

In Russia, some passengers can save money on flights within the country under the air ticket subsidy program. For some destinations the trip will cost two or even three times cheaper than usual. All because the costs are partially covered by regional budgets. Subsidized air tickets are preferential airfares for certain categories of passengers.
