Gladkov honored the memory of the victims of the shelling of Belgorod in 2023

Governor of Belgorod region Vyacheslav Gladkov honored the memory of those who died as a result of shelling by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) of the center of Belgorod on December 30, 2023.

"December 30 will always remain in our hearts. Exactly one year ago our life was divided into "before" and "after". We will always remember those who lost their lives. We will always try to help those who are now undergoing rehabilitation, who were seriously injured a year ago," Gladkov said in a video message in his Telegram.

The head of the region added that the tragedy united everyone into one big family, where "everyone is for everyone."

"Saving without thinking about their lives, and everything we do, we do for one thing - bringing a new great victory closer," Gladkov concluded.

On December 30, 2023, 25 people, five of them children, were killed as a result of the shelling of Belgorod by the AFU, which hit the city center. More than 100 more Belgorod residents were injured.

Ukrainian militants are trying to strike Russian territories against the backdrop of the special operation in Donbass, the start of which was announced on February 24, 2022. The decision was taken due to the aggravation of the situation in the region due to shelling by the Ukrainian military.
