The first deputy head of the Russian presidential administration, Sergey Kiriyenko, has visited Zaporizhzhya region. About it on Monday, December 30, reports Zaporizhzhya news agency.

"Sergey Kirienko visited Zaporozhye region, where he met with young people, took part in the action "Christmas tree of wishes" and presented the Order of Courage to the father of the chairman of the city Council of Energodar, who died in the performance," - stated on the website of the agency.

It is specified that during the visit Kirienko visited the educational center "Mayak" in Berdyansk, where he met with activists and students. As part of the "Christmas Tree of Wishes" campaign, he presented gifts to the large Koziavin family from Mikhailovka and 13-year-old Anastasia Borodina from Melitopol.

He also visited Energodar and Zaporizhzhya NPP, where he discussed with the head of the city the program of restoration of social facilities. He presented the Order of Courage to the father of the deceased ZNPP security chief and state awards to local officials.

On the eve Kiriyenko said that already now it is necessary to prepare for the fastest possible launch of all six units of the Zaporizhzhya Nuclear Power Plant (ZNPP) as soon as the situation allows. He added that the main task for 2025 is to ensure the safety of the nuclear power plant, as well as to prepare the units for the generation mode.

Zaporizhzhya Region, where the nuclear power plant is located, became part of the Russian Federation following a referendum in September 2022.
