Kazakhstan citizen accused of murder extradited from Russia

From Russia to Kazakhstan extradited a citizen of the Republic, who is accused of inflicting grievous bodily harm that led to the death of a man. This was reported by the press service of the General Prosecutor's Office of Kazakhstan on Monday, December 30.

It is established that in Kostanai, during the joint drinking of alcohol, the attacker because of personal animosity inflicted multiple blows to the victim's head and body, which led to death. In an attempt to avoid punishment, the suspect fled and was put on an international wanted list. While on the wanted list, he committed a robbery in Russia and was convicted by the court.

"After serving his sentence in the neighboring state, at the request of the General Prosecutor's Office of the Republic of Kazakhstan, he was extradited to his homeland and is currently placed in a detention center," the agency said in a statement on its website.

For the deed he faces imprisonment for a term of eight to 12 years.

Earlier, December 24, it was reported that Turkish citizen Alikhan Kelesh was extradited from Russia, who is accused of murder of two people in his homeland, as well as other crimes. Before that, Alikhan Kelesh was wanted through Interpol channels. It was specified that he was accused of premeditated murder, attempted murder, as well as forgery of official documents and illegal carrying of weapons.
