Defense Ministry reported one destroyed UAV over Russian territory

Air defense means over the past night eliminated one unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) over the territory of the Russian Federation, the Russian Defense Ministry said on December 30.

"During the past night, on-duty air defense means destroyed a Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicle over the territory of Belgorod region," the ministry's Telegram channel said.

The day before, it was reported that the air defense forces overnight destroyed two Ukrainian drones over the territory of Crimea. In the evening of December 28, it also became known that Russian air defense forces destroyed three drones over Crimea and Kursk region.

Ukrainian militants are trying to strike Russian territories against the backdrop of the special operation in Donbass, the start of which was announced on February 24, 2022. The decision was taken due to the aggravation of the situation in the region due to shelling by the Ukrainian military.
