About 40 tornadoes formed in the southern U.S. during the storms

About 40 tornadoes formed in the south of the United States during the storms, there are dead. This was reported by NBC News on December 29.

It is specified that the previous day's storms caused 37 preliminary tornadoes in Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi and Georgia, leaving behind structural damage.

"Four people have died as a storm system that spawned several tornadoes continues to wreak havoc in the South," the TV station informed.

Earlier on Oct. 1, WP reported the death toll from Hurricane Milton had risen to 14, with six killed in a tornado ahead of the storm in St. Lucie County on Florida's central coast.
