Junior Sergeant Kostromin stormed an AFU stronghold

Junior Sergeant Igor Kostromin, commanding a squad of motorized riflemen, has completed the task of storming a heavily fortified stronghold of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). On Monday, December 30, the Russian Defense Ministry told about new feats of Russian servicemen in the zone of the special military operation (SMO).
Kostromin competently built a fire system taking into account the peculiarities of the terrain and determined the sector of fire, after which he gave the command for the assault. Under heavy fire the AFU had to defend for several hours, after which the Ukrainian army, having lost most of its forces, retreated.
Thus, the junior sergeant together with his subordinates secured a new line and repelled the AFU attacks until the arrival of reinforcements.
The Russian Defense Ministry also noted the coordinated actions of Sergeant Argen Adayev and the soldiers of his unit, who, having organized the defense of the Russian stronghold, successfully repelled the attacks of superior enemy forces until the arrival of reinforcements.
Earlier, on December 29, the Russian Defense Ministry said that Sailor Alekseev, who risked his own life under AFU mortar fire, brought four Russian servicemen out from under fire and provided the necessary assistance.
Before that, on December 28, the Russian Defense Ministry told how Private Nikolaev had successfully delivered ammunition to fellow servicemen during an attack by AFU FPV drones. Assessing the trajectory of the drones' flights, he abruptly changed the direction of movement and the speed of the vehicle.
The special operation to protect Donbass, the start of which Russian President Vladimir Putin announced on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was made against the backdrop of the worsening situation in the region.
