Pushilin pointed to unsuccessful counterattacks by the AFU near Krasnoarmeysk

The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) have made several unsuccessful attempts to counterattack near Krasnoarmeysk in the Donetsk People's Republic (DNR). This was reported by the head of the DNR Denis Pushilin in his Telegram channel on December 29.

"Krasnoarmeysk. We see that a number of settlements have been liberated, the coverage, I would say, of Krasnoarmeysk continues. The enemy tried to counterattack, several of these attempts were crowned with losses in the enemy. The situation on our side has been localized," he said in a video message.

Pushilin added that fighting continues in Chasovy Yar and in the area of the bus station. At the moment, Russian troops are occupying more favorable positions.

Earlier, on December 27, Russian servicemen liberated the settlements of Ivanovka in the DNR and Lozovaya, as well as Zagryzovo in Kharkiv Region. In their area of responsibility, the units of the "West" group of forces in the period from December 21 to 27 also defeated the manpower and equipment of four mechanized, assault, airmobile, airborne brigades of the AFU and two brigades of territorial defense, repelling 25 counterattacks by assault groups of Ukrainian militants.

Ukrainian militants have been shelling Russian territories, especially its new regions, on a daily basis against the backdrop of the special operation to defend Donbass, which the Russian Federation announced on February 24, 2022.
