If you do not follow the simple rules of using pyrotechnics, you can get severe hand injuries - open fractures of phalanges, severing of fingers or the whole hand, as well as burns. Priorov of the Ministry of Health of Russia Sergei Zhuravlev.

He noted that fireworks and sparklers bring pleasure to children and adults, but it is important to remember that these are explosives that can seriously injure if used incorrectly.

"Only certified pyrotechnics should be purchased and used. Launch it on specially designated necessarily open areas. First of all, familiarize yourself with the instructions for use and strictly follow them. It is also important to remember, especially for parents, that only adults and adults in a sober state are allowed to use pyrotechnics," the specialist reminded.

Before launching pyrotechnics, he continued, it is necessary to choose an open and well-ventilated place, avoiding the balcony or the roof of the building. Next, you should make sure there are no people, especially children, and pets around.

"Never lean over a launched firework or attempt to adjust it immediately after a volley. Stay away from used fireworks for at least 20 minutes. They may explode again," Zhuravlev concluded, adding that the products should also be disposed of according to the instructions.
