Russian Interior Ministry warns Russians of fraud via new version of NGate trojan

Fraudsters have started using a new version of the NGate Trojan virus to deceive Russians. This is reported on December 29 by the department for organizing the fight against the illegal use of information and communication technologies of the Russian Interior Ministry in Telegram-channel.
"The facts of use by attackers of a new version of the banking Trojan NGate, aimed at Russian users are fixed," - stated in the message.
It is reported that the fraudsters call the victim and offer to get a financial benefit. To do this, you need to follow the link of the virus, which is disguised as an application of any bank.
After launching the application, you need to put the card to the back of the phone and enter the PIN-code. At this time, the victim's card data is read.
The Interior Ministry urges to be vigilant and careful.
Earlier, on December 17, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia warned citizens about fraud through the program Mamont. It was reported that fraudsters create online resources of non-existent stores with inexpensive goods. To confirm the order, you need to specify in full the full name, address and phone number of the customer. After receiving a message about the shipment of the order, the buyer is offered to download the link application-tracker for its tracking.
Before that, on December 16, the development director of the external digital threat monitoring service, Alexander Vurasko, warned of a new fraud scheme. He said that if during a call you are offered to install any application, you should refuse it and check the information with the bank yourself, as fraudsters can make a clone of a bank card to steal your savings.
