The emergency regime in force since the summer of 2022 was canceled in Transbaikalia

In the Transbaikal Territory, the emergency situation regime (ES), in force since July 2022 in connection with the flood situation, has been lifted. About it on Sunday, December 29, reports IA ChitaMedia with reference to the relevant resolution of the regional authorities.

"I decide to cancel from December 27, 2024 on the territory of the Zabaikalsky Krai emergency regime, introduced by the decree of the Governor of the Zabaikalsky Krai from July 30, 2022", - stated in the document signed by the Governor Alexander Osipov.

The decision to remove the emergency regime was taken by the Commission for the prevention and elimination of emergencies and fire safety. As specified by the news agency, the basis was the elimination of the threat of floods.

December 27, head of the Russian Emergencies Ministry Alexander Kurenkov said that in 2025, risks of flooding may arise in Kurgan, Tyumen and Murmansk regions. The Ministry has already started preparations for the flood-dangerous period, despite the fact that the expected forecast of spring floods will appear only in February.

Meanwhile, in 2024 the emergency regime was introduced in Transbaikalia due to drought. The moisture deficit caused not only the loss of crops, but also affected the fire situation.
