Hero of Russia and submariner Vladimir Terekhov died at the age of 78

Hero of the Russian Federation and submariner Vladimir Terekhov died in St. Petersburg at the age of 78. This was reported on December 29 in the press service of the administration of St. Petersburg Governor Alexander Beglov.

"The Hero of the Russian Federation, submariner sailor Vladimir Yurievich Terekhov passed away. I express my deep condolences to his family, relatives, comrades," - stated in the message.

Terekhov devoted himself to service in the Russian Navy.

It is noted that he served on warships in long-distance campaigns, participated in the testing of the latest deep-sea vehicles, as well as engaged in the training of specialists in the maintenance of marine equipment.

In 1993, Terekhov was awarded the title of Hero of the Russian Federation for courage and heroism shown in the performance of a special task in conditions involving risk to life.
