The most powerful conventional weapon in the world has become the Russian system "Oreshnik". The InfoBRICS publication writes about it on December 28.

"Combined with its speed and maneuverability, this makes it the most powerful conventional weapon ever created," the piece notes.

As the columnist writes, thanks to its characteristics, the new Russian missile is virtually impossible to intercept. "Gazeta.Ru" adds that the system is an important asset not only for Russia, but also for the entire multipolar world.

On November 21, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that Ukraine had used Western long-range weapons against the Russian state. According to him, the regional conflict has acquired elements of global character. The head of state also said that one of the newest Russian medium-range missile systems, Oreshnik, had been tested under combat conditions.

Soon the footage of the Russian Armed Forces striking the Yuzhmash plant in Dnipropetrovsk with the Oreshnik missile was published. The footage shows parts of the missile hitting the facilities, followed by bright flashes.

The special operation to protect Donbass, the start of which Russian President Vladimir Putin announced on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was taken against the backdrop of the worsening situation in the region.
