Media reported 96 dead in plane crash in South Korea


The number of people killed in the crash of a Jeju Air plane in South Korea during landing at Muang airport has risen to 96 people. This was reported in the agency Yonhap on December 29, citing firefighters.
"The bodies of 96 dead have been found at the site of the plane crash in Muang," the report noted.
On board the Boeing 737-800 airliner, which was flying from Bangkok, were 175 passengers, including 173 citizens of the Republic of Korea and two from Thailand, as well as six crew members.
An emergency at Muang Airport involving a Jeju Air plane became known earlier in the day.
