The Boeing 737 airplane that crashed in South Korea at Muang Airport had an engine failure a few days before the crash. This was reported by Yonhap agency on Sunday, December 29.

This told the agency one of the passengers who was on board the aircraft at the time of the incident. According to him, during the flight, the departure of which was significantly delayed, the airplane's engine stopped working several times.

According to him, he asked the flight attendants what was happening to the plane, to which he was told that the aircraft was fine.

The crash of the Jeju Air plane while landing at Muang Airport was reported earlier in the day. Authorities are investigating the scene to determine the exact cause of the crash, and rescue operations are also underway. As Yonhap later reported, all those on board except two rescuers arepresumed dead.
