More than half of Russians will spend up to 10 thousand rubles on gifts for relatives and friends

More than half of Russians are ready to spend up to 10 thousand rubles on gifts for relatives and friends. This was reported on December 29 by "Gazeta.Ru", referring to the VTB survey, which was attended by 1.5 thousand Russians aged 18 to 65 years.

It is informed that almost 24% will spend on New Year gifts from 10 to 20 thousand rubles. At the same time, in Moscow and the Moscow region they plan to invest in the amount of more than 20 thousand rubles (21% against 14% in Russia as a whole). And only 4% of respondents do not plan to buy anything.

It is noted that 32% of respondents said that the budget for gifts to family and friends remains unchanged compared to 2023, 31% indicated a slight increase in spending on New Year's gifts and only 9% reported a significant increase in the budget.

At the same time, 42% of respondents said that the most important thing for them is to keep within the size of their salary. 35% of respondents noted that they carefully plan the budget for these days in advance, while 22% spontaneously spend money during the holidays.
