The Defense Ministry told about the peculiarities of the work of reconnaissance UAV calculations near Ugledar

The Superkam unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) of the motorized rifle unit of the Vostok group of troops transmits information about enemy formations near Ugledar in the Donetsk People's Republic (DNR) to command posts in real time. This was reported by the Russian Defense Ministry on December 29.

"Supercam is designed for aerial reconnaissance, it is one of the best unmanned aerial vehicles in Russia. We use it to detect people, equipment, all sorts of movements, direct artillery. It has a night camera, it is very, very good, in the night camera you can see almost everything," said the operator of the UAV with the call sign Gadzhik.

The ministry noted that Russian servicemen perform daily aerial reconnaissance on the near and far borders of the line of contact to identify enemy movements.

Air scouts, closely cooperating with artillery units, work to adjust fire and control the destruction of identified targets of Ukrainian Armed Forces (AFU) fighters.

The Defense Ministry emphasized that the Supercam is a lightweight and reliable drone that can deceive tracking systems. The drone is equipped with an electric motor, which makes it absolutely silent even at low altitude.

Earlier, on December 24, the Russian Armed Forces' (RFAF) "North" troop grouping hit a pickup truck with AFU's manpower in Sumy region with an FPV drone calculation. A direct hit on the target was recorded.

The special operation to protect Donbass, the beginning of which the Russian Federation announced on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was made against the background of the worsening situation in the region.
