The Russian government has made free social services even more accessible by expanding the list of incomes that will not be taken into account when assessing neediness. This was reported in the press service of the Ministry of Labor on December 28.

"The procedure for assessing the income of citizens applying for free social services is closer to the comprehensive assessment of neediness, used in the appointment of a single allowance," - said in the department.

Consequently, the resolution proposes not to take into account a number of lump-sum and target payments, as well as income from labor activity of Russian citizens with disabilities, who live in social hospitals, and the means of the social contract.

In addition, will change the composition of the family when calculating its income per family member, according to which the applicant, spouse and minor children or children under the age of 23, if they are studying full-time.

Earlier, on December 22, it became known that from January 1, 2025 the amount of social supplementary payment in Moscow will be increased, and with its account pension monthly payment will be up to 25 850 rubles. It is specified that the Moscow standard will also be indexed by 5.5% and for pensioners who permanently reside in Moscow for more than 10 years, will amount to 25 850 rubles.

Before that, on December 13, David Adams, general director of the AID professional legal group, lawyer, told Izvestia that federal and regional social additional payments to pensions play an important role in supporting pensioners whose income does not reach the subsistence level.

November 30, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a law on the budget of the Pension and Social Insurance Fund for 2025-2027, according to which the social pension will be indexed by 14.75%. After indexation, its amount will be 15,456 rubles on April 1, 2025. In addition, insurance pensions will be increased by 7.3% on January 1, 2025.
