Sailor Alekseev carried his fellow soldiers out from under AFU fire and provided them with medical assistance

Lieutenant Evgeny Kolosov, acting as part of a machine gun crew, discovered hidden positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) from which the advancing Russian attack aircraft were being shelled, suppressed the Ukrainian servicemen. On Sunday, December 29, the Russian Defense Ministry described new feats of Russian servicemen in the Special Military Operation (SMO) zone.

The AFU introduced two reserve infantry groups approaching the battlefield, but they were detected by Kolosov on the approach to the stormed positions. Having waited for them to enter the sector of fire, the machine gun crews hit the AFU personnel with accurate fire.

Thus, having failed to receive reinforcements, the Ukrainian servicemen were forced to abandon their positions under the onslaught of Russian attack aircraft.

The Russian Defense Ministry also noted the professional and courageous actions of sailor Alexei Alexeev, who, under the mortar fire of the AFU, risking his own life, took four Russian servicemen out from under fire and provided the necessary assistance.

Earlier, on December 28, the Russian Defense Ministry told how Private Nikolaev successfully delivered ammunition to fellow servicemen during an attack by AFU FPV drones. Assessing the trajectory of the drones' flights, he abruptly changed the direction of movement and the speed of the vehicle.

Before that, on December 27, the Russian Defense Ministry said that Sergeant Viktor Kurilov accurately calculated the coordinates of the movement of Ukrainian Armed Forces (AFU) equipment, which prevented the enemy from taking cover from the fire of Russian artillerymen.

The special operation to protect Donbass, the start of which Russian President Vladimir Putin announced on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was made against the backdrop of the worsening situation in the region.
