A record 37.3 million tons of cargo was transported along the Northern Sea Route (NSR) at the end of the year. This was reported by the First Deputy Minister for the Development of the Far East and the Arctic Gadzhimagomed Huseynov.
"Northern Sea Route. We have updated the record! Carried more than 37.3 million tons," he informed in his Telegram channel.
Huseynov also said that in 2024 the headquarters for cargo delivery to the Far East was launched. At the same time, the number of railcars not transported was reduced from 1,583 to two.
"Delivered to the most remote parts of our country more than 3.5 million tons of life support goods," he added.
