The number of casualties from AFU shelling of Horlivka has risen to seven

The number of Gorlovka residents in the Donetsk People's Republic (DNR) who suffered during the day from the attacks of Ukrainian militants has reached seven. This was reported by the head of the region Denis Pushilin on Saturday, December 28.

"Seven civilians suffered today as a result of Kiev's aggression," he wrote in his Telegram channel.

According to Pushilin, a man born in 1953 was seriously wounded in the Nikitovka district of Horlivka as a result of the use of barrel artillery, a woman born in 1961 and a man born in 1965 were moderately wounded. A woman born in 1953 and men born in 1981 and 2001 were also injured.

There is one more casualty in the Tsentralno-Gorodsky district. There, a man born in 1995 received moderate injuries when an explosive object was dropped from a drone. All seven are being treated, the head of the DNR said.

A residential house in the Nikitovsky district was also damaged. In total, Ukrainian armed formations made about 10 attacks. The militants used barrel artillery of 155 mm caliber, including cluster type, and attack UAV.

Earlier in the day, six Gorlovka residents were reported injured since the beginning of the day. According to the city's mayor Ivan Prikhodko, an apartment in one of the houses and a civilian car were also damaged due to the AFU attacks.

Ukrainian militants have been shelling the territories of the Donetsk and Luhansk people's republics, as well as Zaporizhzhya and Kherson regions on a daily basis amid a special operation to protect Donbass, the start of which Russia announced on February 24, 2022.
