Emergencies Ministry warned of heavy fog in Moscow on the night of December 29

On the night of December 29 in the capital is expected a heavy fog with visibility up to 200-700 m. This was reported by the Emergency Situations Department of Moscow in Telegram on December 28.

The department also warns Muscovites about icy roads.

According to EMERCOM, fog is expected in the evening and will remain until six o'clock in the morning on December 29.

In connection with the expected atmospheric phenomenon, the agency recommends drivers to increase the distance from the vehicles ahead, not to make overtaking and sharp maneuvers, and pedestrians advised to stand out reflective elements.

Earlier, December 26, the scientific head of the Russian Hydrometeorological Center Roman Vilfand said that 3 mm of precipitation will fall in Moscow by the end of 2024. The specialist noted that heavy precipitation is not expected before the end of the year.
