The Ministry of Emergency Situations reported the absence of fuel oil emissions along the pebble beaches of Anapa

Oil and fuel oil emissions on the pebble beach in Anapa were not detected during monitoring, said Vladimir Gusakov, a specialist of the Main Department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia in Krasnodar Krai, on December 28.

"As part of the delegation passed the coastline from the beach "40 years of Victory", the city of Anapa, to the village of Bolshoi Utrish. Oil, as well as fuel oil emissions were not found. No pollution was found on the stones and on the bridge supports," he said in the video, which was published in the Telegram-channel of the operational headquarters of the Kuban.

According to Gusakov, the sea water at the sites is transparent, clean and without visual deposits of fuel oil.

Earlier in the day, the Russian Ministry of Transport reported that all areas of pollution identified after the tanker crash had been cleared in the Kerch Strait. At the same time, the head of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, Alexander Kurenkov, said that there is still a threat of fuel oil leakage into the Black Sea from the sunken ships.

Tankers "Volgoneft-212" and "Volgoneft-239" wrecked in the Kerch Strait on December 15 due to bad weather. The incident resulted in a spill of oil products. 27 people were evacuated from both vessels, one person died. On the instructions of the Russian President, a working group has been set up to coordinate work to eliminate the consequences of the accident with tankers.

In the Krasnodar region since December 26 there is an emergency situation of federal level, and in the Crimea since December 28 the emergency regime of regional character was declared. To eliminate the consequences of the oil spill, a safe sorbent was delivered to the Kuban, as well as a unit for pumping oil products from the sunken tankers.
