Okulov's double helped Avangard beat Lada 7:6 in a KHL match

Avangard Omsk defeated Lada Togliatti in a regular season Kontinental Hockey League (KHL) match held in Omsk on December 28.

The meeting ended with a score of 7:6 in favor of the hosts.

Konstantin Okulov, who played his first game for the Omsk club after transferring from CSKA, scored two goals in the 25th and 29th minutes. Reid Boucher (5), Mikhail Gulyaev (6), Ilya Kablukov (8), Ivan Igumnov (29) and Michael McLeod (43) also scored goals for the winners.

The losers scored goals from Danil Yurtaykin (7), Magomed Sharakanov (11, 24), Evgeny Kalabushkin (40), Dmitry Kugryshev (42) and Arkhip Nekolenko (54).

Earlier, on December 24, hockey player Stanislav Galiev moved from Avangard to CSKA. His contract is signed until the end of the season-2024/25. The athlete has been playing in the KHL since 2017.
