The investigation into the plane crash in Aktau has been transferred to the central office of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation

The criminal case on the crash of Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL) airplane in Kazakhstan was transferred to the central office of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation to investigate the incident. This was reported in the press service of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation on December 28.

"The criminal case initiated under Art. 263 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (violation of the rules of safety of movement and operation of air transport) by the Western Interregional Investigative Directorate on transport, was transferred for a comprehensive investigation to the Main Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee of Russia," - noted in the Telegram-channel.

It was also noted that within the framework of the criminal case all necessary measures are being taken to establish the circumstances of the incident and the causes of the crash.

A passenger plane of AZAL Airlines, headed on the route Baku - Grozny, crashed near the Kazakh city of Aktau on December 25. The Ministry of Transport of Azerbaijan named the preliminary cause of the crash as outside interference. After the incident, a criminal case was initiated. According to the airline's list, 62 passengers and five crew members were on board. A total of 38 bodies were found at the crash site. Seven Russians died in the airplane crash, nine Russian citizens survived. Later, a special airplane of the Russian Emergencies Ministry delivered them to Moscow. Three people from the crew survived.

The head of the Russian Ministry of Health Mikhail Murashko said on December 26 that the Russians injured in the plane crash remained in stable condition during the flight to Moscow, four of them were on artificial lung ventilation (ALV). Two of the injured are in extremely serious condition, one of the patients is light, and the rest of the injured are in moderate condition.
