Six civilians have been injured in Horlivka since the beginning of the day as a result of shelling by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). This was reported by mayor Ivan Prikhodko in his Telegram channel on December 28.
Initially five people were wounded, but later another civilian was wounded as a result of shelling of the settlement of the Y.A. Gagarin mine by Ukrainian militants.
Prikhodko said that an apartment in one of the houses and a civilian car were also damaged due to the AFU attacks.
Earlier, on December 16, the AFU attacked Horlivka with Western cluster munitions and a drone. Two female residents were injured and a man was killed in the attack. The shells damaged the building of the Stirol hotel, as well as several cars. A Ukrainian drone hit a civilian car in the Komsomolets neighborhood, a civilian died of his wounds.
The AFU is trying to strike Russian territories against the background of the special operation in Donbass, the beginning of which was announced by the Russian Federation on February 24, 2022. The decision to carry it out was taken due to the aggravation of the situation in the region due to shelling by the Ukrainian military.
