Almost 500 ambulance crews will go to work on holidays in St. Petersburg

In St. Petersburg medical institutions are transferred to a reinforced work mode for the period of New Year holidays. They will provide timely assistance to residents and guests of the city.

The on-duty services of 114 adult and 84 children's polyclinics will provide medical care at home, including taking tests. Doctors-specialists plan to receive on the basis of one polyclinic in each district.

For emergency cases 36 trauma centers will be opened during the holidays. A stock of medicines has been created, a personnel reserve for quick response to the increased load is provided.

The ambulance service has also been put on high alert. 483 brigades, including 29 resuscitation brigades, will be on round-the-clock duty. Cars staffed with stocks of drugs, oxygen and PPE, notes the TV channel "78" with reference to the city health Committee.

Earlier it was reported that in St. Petersburg until the end of 2025 extended the restrictions imposed to combat coronavirus infection.
