In a conversation with Lenta.Ru on Saturday, December 28, the expert urged to plan in advance the additional expenses that will be required by the end of January. In particular, it may be the cost of buying gifts, preparing the table for Christmas or the old New Year, shopping, going to cafes or other entertainment. It's also important to consider your average budget for the remaining three weeks of January to have enough for groceries and household goods.

"Set allowable spending for each category and activity, for example, by using a limit on the bank's app. This approach will help avoid a financial deficit," Balakhtina advised.

She urged to check the participation in loyalty programs of stores where you plan to spend, the possibility of choosing a cashback.

The specialist also advised to study in advance the poster of events in the city. For example, admission to museums may be free, with a large cashback or discount. When planning a trip, it is also worth checking whether you can get cashback for buying airplane tickets, booking hotels or buying a tour.

She advised not to rush to buy tickets to popular winter vacation spots: many cities have public skating rinks and ski slopes where skiing will be free.

Going to the movies, according to the expert, can be replaced by watching movies together at home, and Christmas gifts can be made on your own.
