Court arrests father on suspicion of murder of four children near Tver

In the Tver region, a father suspected of killing four children in a private house of the SNT "Mezhurka" has been arrested. This was reported on December 28 in the SU of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation in the region.

"Today the court granted the petition of the investigator of the Investigative Committee and elected a measure of restraint in the form of detention in respect of the suspect", - stated in the message published in the Telegram-channel.

The man was arrested under paragraphs "a", "c" of part 2 of article 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Murder of two or more persons"). The term of his detention was not specified.

The IC reported that after the incident he stabbed himself and was hospitalized.

The investigation of the criminal case is continuing.

The mother of the murdered told Izvestia that she had six children, the older two were on the second floor of the house at the time of the incident. According to her, nothing indicated that her husband could commit such a crime.
