Air defense forces destroyed three Ukrainian UAVs over Crimea and Kursk region

Russian air defense forces have destroyed three unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) over Crimea and Kursk Region. This was reported by the Russian Defense Ministry on December 28.

The attacks were repelled between 15:45 and 16:30. One drone was shot down over the Kursk region and two - over the Republic of Crimea, the ministry said.

Earlier in the day, the Defense Ministry said that air defense forces shot down three Ukrainian UAVs over the above regions. The drones were eliminated between 11:00 and 13:00 Moscow time. Before that on Saturday, the agency said that the air defense overnight intercepted 56 Ukrainian drones. It was specified that 28 of them were shot down over the territory of the Voronezh region, 17 - over the Rostov region and another 11 - over the Belgorod region.

The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) are trying to strike Russian territories against the background of the special operation in Donbass, the beginning of which was announced on February 24, 2022. The decision was taken due to the aggravation of the situation in the region due to shelling by the Ukrainian military.
