French confidence in Macron has fallen to its lowest since 2018

Even among those who voted for Macron, trust has fallen from 93% to 71% in six months.

The National Assembly (lower house of parliament) of France on December 4 passed a resolution of no confidence in the government of Prime Minister Michel Barnier. 331 deputies voted in favor of the vote of no confidence. Later, on December 13, 73-year-old leader of the centrist party "Democratic Movement" Francois Bayrou was appointed the new Prime Minister of France.
In turn, Macron, during an address to the nation, said that he was not going to leave the presidency until the end of his term in 2027. He also reminded that he will not be able to run for re-election.
