- The construction of a ring road in Vladivostok is estimated at 408 billion rubles

The cost of construction of two stages of the Vladivostok Ring Road (VKAD) may amount to more than 408 billion rubles. However, as Vera Shcherbina, Chairman of the Primorsky Krai Government, told PrimaMedia IA in an interview, the final decision on the implementation of the large-scale project has not yet been made.
"The Primorye Ministry of Transport has prepared justification of investments in the project on creation of the Vladivostok ring road. The cost of the first stage of work to create the VCAD amounted to more than 88 billion rubles in 2021 prices, the second stage - more than 320 billion in 2023 prices," the politician said.
According to Shcherbina, the sources of funding for the megaproject have not yet been determined, and the final decision on implementation has not yet been made.
According to the project, the Vladivostok Ring Road will connect Russky Island with the mainland by new bridges across Yelena Island and will significantly relieve the city highways. Thus, the first stage provides for the construction of a bridge from Egersheld to Yelena Island and further to Russky Island.
The second stage includes the construction of a road section through Kazanskaya, Russkaya, Makovsky Streets, from the future Kazansky Bridge to the De-Friz-Sedanka interchange, as well as a deep-water tunnel along the bottom of the Amur Bay coastal strip, four overpasses and several interchanges. The project is expected to take six years to complete.
