Trump team plans to use U.S. military bases to deport illegals

The team of US President-elect Donald Trump may use military bases, including airplanes and the army, to deport illegal migrants. This was reported on December 28 by the American newspaper The Wall Street Journal (WSJ) with reference to a source.
"Donald Trump's team is considering using military bases to detain migrants and military aircraft to expedite deportations, said the new head of the President-elect's border service, Tom Homan," the publication said.
According to the material, the first day after Trump's inauguration it is planned to declare a state of emergency in the field of immigration and begin mass deportations of illegal migrants.
At the same time, the amount that will be requested from the Congress of the United States for the implementation of this plan has not yet been determined.
It is noted that although the US military is not legally authorized to reproduce arrests, they are considered a "force multiplier". Trump and his team believe that the army will facilitate transportation, intelligence analysis and the construction of large tents for temporary accommodation of detained migrants in them, the publication writes.
Earlier, on December 26, The Hill reported on the difficulty of implementing Trump's plans to expel illegal migrants. It is noted that he does not have a workforce that would match his rhetoric - the President-elect of the United States suggested that any of the approximately 13 million illegal migrants in the country could face deportation.
Before that, on December 22, Trump promised to close the US border to illegals on his first day in office. In addition, the future head of state announced the largest deportation of migrants in the history of the United States.
On November 7, former United States Ambassador to Switzerland Edward McMullen noted that Trump would seek the most competent people in the administration to implement strategies in the areas of economy, foreign policy and fight against uncontrolled migration.
Two days earlier, Trump, then still a presidential candidate, said in his final speech before the election that migrants were the reason the U.S. was an occupied country. He promised to "save" every city and town that had been "invaded and conquered."
