This was announced by the head of the State Duma Committee on Security Vasily Piskarev in Telegram on December 28.
"Taking into account the participation of the specified Russian citizens in the project of undesirable NGOs, we will send an appeal to the Prosecutor General's office of the Russian Federation to bring them to the responsibility established by law," - stated in the publication.
The MP said that 50 cultural figures who have left Russia since the beginning of the special military operation (SVO), since yesterday began a two-day auction with more than 100 lots in support of Ukraine. According to him, the event is supported by the United States, and among its participants are 25 foreign agents.
Thus, according to the MP, the auction includes rapper Noize MC, singer Monetochka (recognized in the Russian Federation as foreign agents), former TV presenter Tatyana Lazareva (recognized in the Russian Federation as a foreign agent, included in the list of terrorists and extremists of Rosfinmonitoring) and undesirable organizations in Russia, such as TV channel Dozhd and Meduza (recognized by the Ministry of Justice as foreign agents and undesirable organizations in the Russian Federation).
According to Piskarev, the operator of the event described its purpose as spreading anti-Russian propaganda.
On December 24, it became known that Lazareva was sentenced in absentia to 6.5 years in prison in the case of public justification of terrorism. The journalist was found guilty under part 2 of article 205.2 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Public justification of terrorism").
Earlier, on December 13, the State Duma amended the bill, according to which a special ruble account will be opened for foreign agents to deposit income. The initiative is designed to exclude the possibility for foreign agents to sponsor the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU).
On December 1, 2022, the law regulating the activities of foreign agents came into force in Russia. If a foreign agent receives this status, among other things, it can no longer receive financial support from the state, take part in state procurement and engage in teaching activities in state institutions. In addition, these persons must inform their employees and the authorities about this status, as well as label the materials they create.
