Four-time USSR hockey champion Valery Kuzmin died at the age of 83

Former defenseman of the Moscow hockey club "Spartak", four-time champion of the USSR Valery Kuzmin died at the age of 84. This was reported on December 28 on the official website of Spartak.

Kuzmin became champion of the Soviet Union three times - in 1962, 1967 and 1969 as part of "Spartak", and the fourth time - in 1974, playing in the "Wings of Soviets", then he won the USSR Cup. The hockey player played 386 games for the Red and White.

In the last years of his life Kuzmin actively participated in the veteran movement of Spartak Moscow, attending festive events and matches of the team.

The cause of death of the athlete is not specified. The date and place of the farewell to Kuzmin will be announced later.
