The Ural Civil Aviation Plant (UZGA) has handed over the first two UTS-800 training aircraft to the Russian Defense Ministry. This was reported by the official representative of the plant on December 28.

"The inclusion of the UTS-800 aircraft in the pilot flight training system will significantly reduce the cost of cadet training and ensure its high efficiency," he told TASS.

The UTS-800 is a turboprop trainer aircraft being developed by UZGA. It is designed for flight training exercises of the Russian Air and Space Forces. The UTS-800 can climb to a height of up to 6,000 meters and reach a speed of about 360 km/h.

Earlier, on December 23, Rostec State Corporation CEO Sergei Chemezov said that specialists of the United Aircraft Corporation (UAC) have done a lot of work to resume production of modernized Tu-160M missile carriers. The airplanes receive new complexes and systems, which will increase their combat potential.
