Peskov spoke about Putin's plans for New Year's Eve

Russian President Vladimir Putin usually spends New Year's Eve at home, unless he has trips planned. This was stated by Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov on December 28.
"The president usually celebrates New Year's Eve at home if he is not traveling anywhere. You remember that he often travels to the places where he is needed most," he told the briefing.
According to Peskov, the Russian president set up a Christmas tree in his office.
As for Russians' trust in Putin, the Kremlin spokesman said the majority of the country's residents support him.
"Of course, last week was extremely active, extremely saturated with news. <...> One fact remains obvious: indeed President Putin enjoys the trust and support of the overwhelming majority of our country's population," Peskov said.
He also added that the results of opinion polls may vary, which is a natural process.
Earlier, on December 22, Peskov said, Putin's schedule on New Year's holidays will be working. At the same time, he specified that the President has certain plans for the specified period.
