A nutritionist has revealed a way to improve the condition when overeating


Overeating during the holidays is not an uncommon phenomenon. Elena Ustinova, a nutritionist at SM-Clinica, told Izvestia on December 29 about how you can help yourself, and what methods, on the contrary, can only harm you.
"In fact, there are not many options here. First of all, it is worth noting that in no case should you induce yourself to vomit. This is bad advice, which, unfortunately, can sometimes be heard," Ustinova clarified.
According to her, in case of a feeling of heaviness that came after overeating, a few tablets of pancreatic enzymes, which will help the pancreas to digest excess food, can help relieve the situation.
"Another tip is that if you feel like you've overeaten, don't go straight to bed. Instead, you should walk around. For example, if you are not outside but in a room, just walk from corner to corner. The fact is that when we walk, our peristalsis of the stomach and gastrointestinal tract is also triggered, and the process of digestion will go faster, "- added the specialist.
At the same time, she noted that it does not have to be some fast or exhausting walk. It is enough just to walk at your own pace.

She recommended choosing lighter versions of dishes. As the expert explained, complex combinations with a large number of ingredients is a significant load for the stomach and the entire digestive system, especially at night. The most suitable recipes are dishes that are prepared from two to four ingredients.
