Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin visited the Soyuzmultfilm studio together with children who participated in the Wish Tree campaign.

Young visitors were shown the process and technology of creating various cartoons: they tried to move paper characters while the camera is shooting from above, saw puppets created especially for the creation of one of the projects. As one of the studio workers noted, for a character to make a simple action - unwrap a candy - it is necessary to make more than 160 frames.

During the excursion to "Soyuzmultfilm" its participants were shown a light table, which used to be used to create drawn cartoons.

In addition, the pupil of the Russian director and animator Alexander Tatarsky, who created Plastilinovaya Vorona, showed the children and Mikhail Mishustin how to work with special plasticine when creating cartoons.

The children saw the process of creating three-dimensional computer animation.

At the end, Prime Minister together with the children watched cartoon series of the studio "Soyuzmultfilm" and gave them gifts.

Earlier, on December 26, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov took part in the all-Russian charity event "Christmas Tree of Wishes" and promised to fulfill the dreams of four children. Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Patrushev will help fulfill the wishes of three more.

The "Wishing Tree" charity event is a project of the Russian "Movement of the First" with the support of Rosmolodezh, which has been taking place since 2018 and lasts from mid-November to the end of February. Thanks to the campaign, children aged 3-17 who find themselves in a difficult life situation get the opportunity to fulfill a cherished wish or receive a gift for the New Year. In 2023, the Wishing Tree started on November 15 and runs until February 28, 2024.
