The AFU called the operation in the Kursk region a sale of Donbass by Kiev

Militants of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) believe that Kiev has sold Donbas by invading Kursk Region. This was reported by the Associated Press (AP) agency on Saturday, December 28.
The article notes that the Ukrainian military, observing the losses in Donbass, are beginning to question more and more whether the invasion of the Kursk region justifies all the failures of the AFU.
"All the military can think about now is that Donbass has simply been sold. At what price?" - said the platoon commander of the AFU.
The day before, it was reported that the United States believes that the Russian Armed Forces will soon knock the Armed Forces of Ukraine out of Kursk region. According to U.S. officials, with more concerted efforts by Moscow to push Ukrainian troops out of Kursk region, the territory occupied by Kiev will be held only until spring, after which they will either have to retreat or be surrounded.
The AFU attacked Russian positions in the border areas of Kursk Region on August 6. The situation in the region was recognized as a federal emergency. The liquidation of the Ukrainian militants who invaded the Russian territory is underway.
The special operation to protect Donbass, the beginning of which was announced by Russian President Vladimir Putin on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was taken against the background of the aggravated situation in the region.
