Snowplow driver runs over a child to death on Yamal Peninsula


The driver of a snowplow ran over a child to death in the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous District (YNAO). A criminal case has been initiated over the death of a minor. This was reported on December 28 by the Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee (IC) of the Russian Federation in the region.
It is specified that the incident occurred on Friday, December 27, in the settlement of Urengoy of the Purovsky district on the territory of the square of the cultural and sports complex "Geologist".
"Under the wheels of a truck involved in the removal of snow from the territory, died a minor boy born in 2011", - stated on the website of the Department.
The criminal case was initiated under part 1 of article 109 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Causing death by negligence"). At the moment the circumstances of the incident are established.
Earlier, on December 14, a Porsche car in New Moscow hit a child and his nanny on the sidewalk. The victims were hospitalized with injuries of varying severity. The child died in hospital.
December 16, Shcherbinsky court of Moscow sent Natalia Sorokina, who ran down the nanny with the child, to custody. She will stay in pre-trial detention until February 14. The woman pleaded guilty in full.
