Rosgvardia destroys a UAV unit of AFU militants in Chernihiv region

Special forces of Rosgvardia have destroyed a UAV unit of Ukrainian Armed Forces (AFU) militants in Chernihiv region with the help of FPV drones. The corresponding footage of objective control was shared by the press service of the agency on December 28.

It specified that servicemen performing service and combat tasks in the border areas of the Bryansk region destroy equipment and places of concealment of the Ukrainian militants' living forces.

"Thus, while conducting joint reconnaissance with the border department of the Federal Security Service of Russia in the Bryansk region, an enemy UAV was detected in a forest belt in Chernigov region. In the shortest possible time Rosgvardia drone operators with the help of FPV-drones made an aimed strike on the calculation of the AFU and the dugout, where the enemy was hiding," - stated the message.

The day before, the Defense Ministry said that air defense means intercepted and destroyed 13 Ukrainian drones over Russian regions. Five over the territory of the Bryansk region, three over the territory of the Kursk region, two each over the territories of the Belgorod and Tula regions and one over the territory of the Astrakhan region.

The special operation to protect Donbass, the start of which was announced by Russian President Vladimir Putin on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was made against the background of the aggravated situation in the region.
