New York prison staff beat an inmate to death during a physical exam

Correctional officers in New York beat to death a handcuffed inmate. About it on Friday, December 27, reports the Associated Press (AP).

Video from the body camera was published by the state attorney general, the publication reports.

The footage shows a handcuffed man being repeatedly beaten by the institution's staff. The guards kicked him in the chest, and then lifted him by the neck and threw him.

Earlier, on November 27, it became known that in the UK prisoners were subjected to an invasion of poisonous spiders and rats. According to a report on the state of prisons in England and Wales, vermin infestation is an acute problem. In the prison complex, inmates are subjected to infestations of cockroaches, flies, bedbugs, and rotting rodents are also found there.
