Two people died and five were injured in a traffic accident in the Ulyanovsk region. This was reported by the Department of Internal Affairs of Russia in the region in its Telegram channel on December 28.

According to preliminary data, on December 27, at 127 km of the road Alexeevskoye - Vysokiy Kolok Novomalyklinsky district of Ulyanovsk region, the driver of the car Mercedes-Benz ML 350, born in 1993, could not cope with the management and drove into the lane of oncoming traffic, where there was a head-on collision with the car AF 77ZZ11-02, after which Mercedes-Benz drove off into the ditch.

"As a result of the accident suffered seven people from the car Mercedes-Benz: passengers born in 2021 and 1992 died at the scene of the accident before the arrival of medics", - informed the press service of the Department.

It is specified that three victims (2012, 2018, 2014 years of birth) were hospitalized in a medical institution. The driver himself and another passenger born in 2019 after medical care were released home.

"At present, an investigation is being conducted on this fact, all the circumstances of the incident are being established," - said in the UMVD in the Ulyanovsk region.

Earlier, on December 26, two people were killed, another was injured in a collision between a passenger car and a locomotive in the Stavropol region. As noted in the department, the locomotive did not derail.
