Two residents of the Krasnogvardeisky district of Belgorod region were injured as a result of a Ukrainian drone attack, Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov said on December 28.

"In the village of Palatovo as a result of a drone detonation two people were injured. The victims with shrapnel wounds are taken by ambulance crews to Krasnogvardeyskaya CRB. All necessary assistance is provided. In the village, three residential houses have broken windows and cut facades," - wrote the head of the region in Telegram-channel.

Gladkov also reported that one of the drones struck the village of Verkhososna, damaging a power transmission line, which left the village without electricity. Brigades of emergency services are working at the site.

"Information on the consequences is being clarified. House-to-house rounds will be continued during daylight hours," the governor added.

Shortly before, Governor Alexander Gusev said that air defense (Air Defense) and electronic warfare (REB) means eliminated 10 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) in the suburbs of Voronezh and in several districts of the Voronezh region. As a result of the attack, the contact network on the railroad was broken and train traffic was disrupted.

The AFU is trying to strike Russian territories against the background of the special operation in Donbass, the start of which was announced on February 24, 2022. The decision was taken due to the aggravation of the situation in the region due to shelling by the Ukrainian military.
