One person has died in an explosion at a poultry farm in the US


As a result of an explosion at the poultry plant Tyson Foods in the state of Georgia in the United States killed a woman sleeping in a truck, which was located next to the plant. This was reported on December 28 by ABC News television channel.
"The victim, 61-year-old Bajarma Batozhapov from Las Vegas, did not work at the plant, nor did her husband, who was the driver of the truck. She was accompanying him at the time of the explosion, which burned the part of the body she was in," the Mitchell County Medical Examiner's Office reported.
Law enforcement officials said the deceased woman's husband was in the building and was not injured in the explosion.
Company officials said the cause of the explosion has not yet been determined.
"We extend our deepest condolences to the family and friends of the deceased during this difficult time. Right now we are still gathering information, but ensuring the safety of our employees is our top priority and we are conducting a full investigation into what happened," the poultry plant representatives said.
Earlier, on December 25, it became known that the storm in California killed one person. Two more are listed as missing. The U.S. Coast Guard in the Los Angeles area is looking for them, as found an overturned boat.
