Private Nikolaev successfully delivered ammunition to fellow soldiers during an attack by AFU FPV drones

Private Daniil Nikolayev delivered ammunition to the positions of Russian units during a special military operation despite FPV drone attacks by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). On Saturday, December 28, the Russian Defense Ministry told about new feats of Russian servicemen in the zone of the special military operation (SMO).

Moving at high speed, Private Nikolaev professionally managed a truck on a difficult terrain. Assessing the trajectory of drone flights, he abruptly changed the direction and speed of the vehicle.

Thus, he was able to timely deliver ammunition to the positions of the Russian servicemen, which made it possible to strengthen the onslaught on the AFU positions and force them to retreat.

The Russian Defense Ministry also noted the brave and courageous actions of Sergeant Yan Shatrov, who stealthily approached the positions of an enemy machine-gun crew at a distance of a grenade launcher shot, after which he destroyed it by firing a grenade launcher.

Thanks to Shatrov, the Russian attack aircraft captured the stronghold without losses and gained a foothold on it, creating conditions for the development of the offensive.

Earlier, on December 27, the Russian Defense Ministry said that Sergeant Viktor Kurilov accurately calculated the coordinates of the movement of Ukrainian Armed Forces (AFU) equipment, which prevented the enemy from taking cover from the fire of Russian artillerymen.

Prior to that, on December 26, the Russian Defense Ministry told how Sergeant Dmitry Sorokovoy, while under AFU fire, evacuated seriously wounded servicemen to a shelter, where he subsequently provided them with first aid and organized their evacuation.

The special operation to protect Donbass, the beginning of which Russian President Vladimir Putin announced on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was made against the backdrop of the worsening situation in the region.
