The All-Russian public movement "People's Front" within the framework of the fund "Everything for Victory" handed over to five units of the Russian Army about 10 tons of gifts on the occasion of the New Year, the press service of the organization reported on December 27.
"Millions of citizens across the country really wanted to send you something warm, warming. That's why there are tangerines, and stoves, and insoles, and warm boots. Everything here has been collected by ordinary people," Mikhail Kuznetsov, head of the executive committee of the People's Front movement, said in his address to the soldiers of the Russian Armed Forces.
For all the time of its work, the charity fund "Everything for Victory" has collected more than 19 billion rubles from all over Russia to help Russian servicemen.
"All the things that have been donated are necessary for the fighters <...> We are very happy that people are collecting all this for the front. They help us a lot, and the victory will be for us! Thank you very much," - thanked for the help of a serviceman of the Russian Federation with the call sign Churur.
Earlier, on December 4, it became known that volunteers of the "People's Front" delivered humanitarian aid to civilians of the liberated town of Selidovo in the Donetsk People's Republic (DNR). The aid included 100 packages, including food packages.
Before that, on November 25, the Popular Front brought humanitarian aid to residents of the liberated settlement of Gornyak in the DNR. Volunteers handed over 100 food packages and essential goods.
The special operation to protect Donbass, the beginning of which was announced by Russian President Vladimir Putin on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was made against the backdrop of the worsening situation in the region.
